The Radio Control Club of Detroit
The Radio Control Club of Detroit is a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and advancement of model aviation as a hobby. We invite all types of RC model aviation supported by the AMA. The club currently promotes Scale, Giant Scale, Precision Aerobatics, Scale Aerobatics and 1/12th Scale W.W.II Combat with event status. We are proud to have top national competitors within our ranks.
It is our hope our club can provide a fun and friendly atmosphere for everyone while safely participating in this great hobby. We encourage all members and guests to abide by all the AMA and Club safety rules.
Welcome fellow club members and hobbyists to our revised club website. We have changed the website software and we are now up and running again.
At this point, our website will be a lot smaller in content and hopefully a lot easier to navigate and maintain. Currently, this site will have limited links to other websites and no links to any social medias. Keep in mind this is the start of the new website, and there will be revisions and additions coming. Since we are just starting, there are just a few entries within some of the items on the menu. As time passes and input from the members (photos, articles, etc.) come in, they will be included within the appropriate places in the website. The website will grow in content, if the club members participate in sharing their photos, their thoughts and their articles. There will be future up dates relating how all this will happen.
Now, after logging on to our website, the website will open up on the home page. Scroll down on the home page to see additional info that may be on the home page. When opening up any page in the website, scroll down that page to see additional info that may be on the newly opened page. Please, work your way through the site by using the main menu. Place your cursor on the item listed in the main menu that you want to view, then click your left mouse button and that page should open up. Anywhere there is an entry that is underlined in the website, place your cursor on that item and click your left mouse button and that item should open up more information. Continue to “surf” through the menu to see all the current entries. Some pages from the main menu will open up starting with text and photos displayed. Some pages from the main menu will open up with a list of underlined items on that page. Remember, any entry that is underlined in the website place your cursor on that item and click your left mouse button and more info will open up. Enjoy your “surfing”, and check out the club website often to see future updates and revisions. Start your future visits by opening “current news” on the main menu first. This is where important flying notifications, field issues, comments related to the club website, club issues or club meetings will be posted.
Please bare with me, I am going through a learning curve with this software, so the updates may be a little slow being posted.
